What is Circular Economy and Why is TechTrans Aiming for it?
TechTrans is aiming to create a cradle-to-cradle service that recycles and re-purposes electronic goods. We first recognized that this was a problem that needed addressing when one of our founders was looking at the amount of electronic waste that he had in his own house alone. We want our users to understand the method and motivation that is guiding our services.

The circular economy model disrupts the more common consumption model of
Taking-> Making-> Disposing. Instead of disposing products and materials in a landfill, a circular economy aims to re-use, repurpose, repair, or when all else is impossible, responsibly recycle materials. The video below provided by the Ellen McArthur Foundation gives a more in-depth description of what a circular economy is:
At TechTrans we are focusing on the repurposing and responsibly recycling stage of the circular economy. We recognize that one of the largest problems with the current model (take->make->dispose), is the disposal of products and are here to provide consumers with a solution.
